Since childhood, I have always been a big fan of comics. I have always been fascinated by the graphic processing of black and white comics, the composition between full and empty, the mastery of light and contrast created with two unique shades : the black and the white of the leaf. "La Ligne Claire" of "Hergé", the calligraphy and the American comic strip of the sixties are my main influences. My two-color creations seek to make the illustration shown by working with a single black line on a background of color clear and visible. Thus, forms (as calligraphy) are gradually emerging on the canvas revealing faces, landscapes, objects, etc. Each painting must be analyzed in a very subjective way. Each one makes his own interpretation of the scene. The title leaves a trail on my own interpretation of the work.
